In 2015, Mane on Fire Farm purchased a 20-acre property in Campbell, TX with the goal of renovating and restoring the property to its full potential. Campbell is about 45 minutes east of downtown Dallas along I-30.
Two years later, and the farm has a brand-new barn, arena, jump chute, and about a mile of 5′ high horse-safe fencing. The pastures are in the process of renovation, with a combination of bermuda grass in the summer and lush winter grasses and legumes in the winter.
Our feed program is based on a very fundamental concept – the better quality forage, and more of it, the better the health of the horse. With this in mind, we test all of our hay for complete nutritional analyses and balance them accordingly with the grain and pasture in the horses’ diets.
Our barn is a 9-stall barn with 12×12 stalls, three of which have “run” access to a large paddock. Bermuda hay is free choice in the stalls just as it is in the pasture. Crossties and a wash rack and present in the barn, allowing for our young horses to be raised with much the same experience as they might see in a training barn.
Riding space is plentiful here, as we offer a 320’x160′ outdoor arena with a full “A” show quality jump course, a 160’x50′ free jumping chute, and a 60′ diameter round pen. All footing is a sand-clay mix that offers excellent cushioning in both rainy weather and dry.
